welding return oil fitting

Default welding return oil fitting

I have a 2002 ex and I was wondering. since my oil pan is aluminum can the bung be mig welded or does it have to be tig? thanks

Tig would make it easier, but if your mig setup for Al you should be good also. To mig al you need a different liner, gas, and wire.

i'm sure you're aware but just in case... the bung should also be aluminum.

since its aluminum.... dril and tap it...no need to weld

It's better to weld it though. It only cost me about $20 to have it done to my aluminum D16Y8 pan.
