i am pointing the compressor down cause thats the way I'm running the turbo out piping, the one piece pipe i made just about fit, but i forgot when i lower the car back off the jack stands, it will hit the axle, so i gotta change the angle a bit but you get the idea
my auto tint helmet i got for free, again another benefit of my neighbor the machinist, said it was too small and gave it to me, i was like OK :D , where the clamp is on the pipe is the turbo out side, fits good like i said, but i gotta change the angle up a bit
the diesel *** flex section and dump tube
some of the not so good welds, only got about an hour welding time so far, so i guess its not bad for a beginner
some of the smoother welds of the day, more consistent
just a shot of me welding, the welder is a lincol mig 135T, using argon Co2, the voltage on a scale of 1-4 was on 3 cause i didnt wanna burn holes, the wire speed was at about 1/3 max speed, not too fast or slow, and this thing is pretty fun to use, gotta make my $$ back hopefully, the gas is set at about 20-25 cause thats what the inside of the door says for that gas mix and thickness, the wire is .25, pretty easy so far, just gotta get my beads nice and I'm set, later
this is posted on VWvortex, but i posted pics here on HT just to show off the new welding skills, and weld beads etc, later
