So ive been noticing this weird thing when i start the car. It stumbles a bit and idles real low but then the idle rises and its fine once it gets going. It drives 100% normal, no odd symptoms, just on startups, more particular cold startups is when its worse. The car will start and hold idle, but its not exactly normal.

Could fouled plugs be the culprit? My ignitor went out a few weeks bad and it flooded the motor a bit im sure.

Also what model is recommended for a boosted b16? I know its the iridium with the 7 heat range right?

If your evap purge solenoid plugs are plugged in and you are using an obd2 to obd1 harness which you are, you may experience issues such as the one you are having on startup.

 

mine (prelude) does the EXACT same thing!! and I dont have any evap stuff at all, everything is removed.

tried new plugs and it didnt help at all. I noticed that it's running super rich when that happens though, 9-10:1 AFR

 

John youre right, looks like those thieves plugged it back in. They were trying some weird stuff to get it started
