water powered turbo
There was a post about this a couple of weeks ago. I was trying to explain it to someone, but I can't find the post. Don't remember the title and I couldn't find anything in the search. Can someone please post a link. Thanks
Nevermind I found it thanks to the Hydracharger comment. Garret made it it anyone cares. Thanks, A mod can delete this now.

Re: water powered turbo (SOHC_power)
I think they called it a Hydracharger. I also think they said it will never be produced, whatever the concept was behind it, I dunno.

Re: water powered turbo (falconGSR)
escentially it was like a super charger/turbo.....it use a pump off teh crank to power the hydrualic fluid, that spun the 'exhaust' side impeller of a turbo....
I remember hearing about this thing a year or 2 back, but never heard anything more about it.....
only real advantage of it is the ability to locate the compressor unit wherever you want.

it was just a supercharger with the ability to limit boost. All of the exhaust energy when str8 out the tailpipe, and it had paracitic drag just like a regular supercharger. Its as much of a turbo as a vortech is
