wat is going wrong.. rpm wont get pass 6K without jerking
Hi, I cant figure this out. rpms fine until it reaches 6 rpm and then the it seems like its jerking and the rpm bouches off a few hundred back and forth but lets me climb up (highest i hit was 6600). Then, when I shift bc I cant stand the jerking, the rpm drops all the way to 0 and comes back up fast to 6k and I have the same problem again in each gear. I have an aftermarket cluster gauge and my shop thinks that could be the reason but I don't see how that would. Anyone have this happen to them? This is a 01 LS integra with rev hard turbo kit and obd 1 ecu.

i bought the car used with aftermarket gauges that lite up 6 different colors. It fits on top of the stock cluster but my shop believes by putting on the gauges and messing around with the neddles that it might have made my rpms inaccurate. Therefore I would need to recalibrate it or buy a new stock cluster. This is on an LS one.

Re: (00SilverLS)
Sounds like its the actual engine, not the RPM, otherwise why would he not be able to stand it and be forced to shift.
Sounds like the problem I had, change your fuel filter (might be clogged, and the engine isnt getting enough gas) and re adjust your timing (try setting it to stock).

Re: (luti)
I'm running 440cc injectors and they are about 1 yr old now. I just recently did a manual swap from an auto and before (when still auto) I was able to redline it without a problem. The car jerks when im at that rpm and I dont want to do more damage so I shift and the tach drops all the way to 0 and comes back fast up to 6 rpm. I haven't dyno it since I got the swap and I can tell i'm running really rich. Can running really rich cause it to jerk at hi rpms?
