Yo, I finally got my car back from putting the JDM front on but the hood is giving me a problem. The mugen hood has a scoop that is in the way of my Tial wastegate and I can not close my hood all the way. Can anyone help me figure how I can close my hood???? HELP ME...

As you can see I can't close my hood if I have my whole tial on:


For me to close my hood I have to take apart my tial for it to close all the way. It works if my wastegate looks like this:

have you considered getting an elbow made up, or buy one from Ben @ importparts? its like 35 bucks or something..




edit- mine hits my hood like a madman... it was so bad at one time that it rubbed through the vacuum line and made a vac leak...

make a pipe that goes from the manifold to the wastegate and lay the gate on its side to the left or right of the manifold, try ot make it as short as possible.

is that a real deal mugen bumper and hood? if so, your a baller looks great. i suggest either get that little elbow from importparts or maybe a different exhaust manifold (?)

judging by those not being oem headlights and the mesh im guessing no, those are not genuine mugen parts, but fitment looks great.

that 90 deg. elbow that comes with the revhard kit will probably fix your problem.

no it does not.. the only part that touched my hood was the vac line coming off of the side of the wastegate.... but a quick remedy to that was to get longer vac line and approach the wastegate from the exhaust manifold...

acutally its all real.. I had the shop install the mesh b/c I didn't want crap flying in. the emblem was shave off too (looks too ricey). Also these are OEM jdm type r black headlights.

ah weird. for some reason i had thought the genuine honda ones didnt have the lines over the projector.

you mean the reflectors?? I don't think there's any aftermarket headlights. That is the reason why jdm headlights are at least 400 used and 700 new. I wish I could sell my old usdm headlights for 400, lol

No it just dumps straight down

QUALITY work and welds.


I got the dumptube made at an exhaust shop, they charged me 35 bones for an ugly crush bent tube with some ugly welds... but you cant see the welds too well and who cares about crush bent... so im fine.


edit- didnt mean to say Ben's was not quality... im just amazed by pretty welds and shiny metal hahaha

mines was still hiting in my eg with Gsr motor.
