Default wastegate problems

I have noticed that my wastegate never fully closes at idle. It is a Turbonetics Racegate and its brand new. I have the vacuum ports connected as follows: side port is connected to the compressor, top port: goes to my profec and then to my intake manifold. I had my engine apart sice August for my build up and i cant remember if this is correct.

If this is correct any suggestions as to why it is open slightly at idle.

Try connecting the sideport (vacuum) to your Intake manifold vacuum source. Because when you have it connecting at the compressor itself, the wastegate will probably open slightly.
