Default wastegate problem?

well a funny problem occured today.

My 38mm wastegate was acting funny tonight, I have it set at 7psi on a T3/T4 .50 trim turbo....

but it was spiking to 10psi then I would hear the wastegate slowly open and it would creep back down to 7ish psi depending on what gear I was in....

So I was thinking that either my vacuum hoses are bad OR my wastegate is taking a **** so I may have to clean it.

What do you guys think?

Are you still running the tial knockoff wastegate? If so, this is a very common problem, which is why I got rid of mine and went with an actual Tial. GL.

nevermind....I guess the wastegate was not the problem.

It may have helped to tell you guys before the problem started (when it was boosting fine) my ignition timing was at about -7/-8 (don't ask...I didn't know). So my buddy and I adjusted timing to about +11/+12 and then the problem started....he says it may have something to do with air/fuel ratios....but I'm not sure.

Any ideas?
