Wastegate (open vs closed loop)
I was just wondering if anyone has experimented with this. I came across an article from the f-max kit about this topic and had some questions. http://www.turbokits.com/prelude_turbo_kit.html
This is the link. It is claiming that running opened loop they gained 44hp at 9psi. I'm wondering if this is really true? Would i gain more @ a higher boost level? Are these gains only possible when running the stock exhaust? The only downfalls i've heard of is that it's louder, and may **** up ur engine bay. Has anyone had any experience with this? I would ask f-max,but they never seem to know anything about anything. Any thoughts would be helpful.
