Wastegate Open at idle. Please read !!!!!!
I am going to try and fix this tonight do quick replies would rule! My Tial 35mm is open at idle. I installed the O-ring but i dont know if i did it right. It is still open at idle! I put the thinner side of the ring up into the WG towards the piston. I am pulling my friggin hair out!! HELP!
So upon further notice the wastegate is open all the time! So with the wastegate open it will still boost obviously but will there be a lack of power? The turbo isnt spooling as much right? I am lost help me please!

With the wastegate open all the time, the turbo will spool just as much, but it's going to take forever to hit good boost numbers at the intake manifold. You really need to check the wastegate internals and make sure the spring is in there right and that all the seals and O-rings are correctly installed. Your turbo kit is not going to be a performer without this problem attended to.

OK here is a pic of my lines. The bottom line is going to the wastegate and the top one with the nylon obviously is going to my boost gauge. Does that all look correct? Thanks!

Yes I am running the line to the bottom port and yes I bought it new. I emailed the seller and they havent replied yet but its a weekend. I have a wider engine bay shot i will post later!
sounds to me like the metal ring that goes in between the wastegate and the manifold isn't in there right...this happened to me before.
gregg...lemme know if you want me to come check that out today..i have nothing to do!

Sounds like you have the vacume lines wrong. I did the same thing. Take the port off the side of the wastegate and attach to vacume source on the intake manifold. DO NOT use the top port on the wastegate for this test. Cap off the port on the turbo that you had attached to the side of the wastegate. Give this a try and it should solve your problem. You use the top port of the tial when you are using a boost controller. HTH
mne did this one time. it turns out i had the top and bottom WG vac lines transposed and it was stuck open. Sounding lke a huge exhasut leak , swapped thme around andprob fixed.
The plunger inside of it might be misaligned.. when I moved the vac port on mine I pushed the plunger in too much and it leaked at idle...
Problem solved! HOLY CRAP is this thing fast! hahahahah I am sure its a feeling you are all used to by now. Unreal power. No traction in first and second gear (cold roads here) Anyway, Mike you are DA MAN! Best $10 I ever spent HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
