Default wastegate on intake pipe?

hey anyone know if i can hook my 35mm tial wg up to my intake piping????

Why? its been done before. Actually i know some Turbo mustang owners who use racegates for blow off valves. Dont be so quick to criticize n00b.

hey thats a new one for me. Although, I've never used vacuum to open a wg valve before.

it just may work in a high boost app just like the pic above because there is so much pressure on the valve.

Thats what the second nipple on some BOV's are for, called a 'pop off valve'...well, thats what HKS calls it. Then the BOV reaches a certain pressure it opens, acting like a wastegate.

nice, I've yet to see a bov with that. thats great overboost protection. Can you select the psi at which the pop-off valve activates?

Yes, but keep in mind many of these cars are automatic, and only actually "blow off" once every run at the end.

Its just another way to bleed off boost before it reaches the motor.
