Wastegate dump noise
I hate wg sounding louder than compressor. Turbo is suppose to have that compressor sound, not some flappy exhaust leak.
At low boost settings, How do you get rid that silly flapping sound of the External Wastegate dump without losing the power?
I heard running it closed loop (welding the dump tube onto the downpipe) will work, but you'll lose output. Im thinking the exhaust ..sucking on the dump tube will make the WG pull out more boost than it should.
How about welding the dump tube further down onto the exhaust near the meow:x ?

you're wastegate shoudlnt be "flapping" at low boost settings, it should be remaining closed until desired boost level is reached....or maybe im not understanding what your saying?
Your long tem solution would be to fabricate a dumb tube from the the wg outlet. A lot of people seem to agree that if the dump tube is at least 18" down the down pipe, you will not suffer much power loss.
mine flapps little at say 4psi then when i hit 7 its nasty loud... i got a flex pipe from autozone and some fiberglass cloth wrapped the bitch with the cloth and put it on. its a tiny bit quieter but its still nasty sounding...
