I agreed to install a turbo kit for a customer not knowing that it was the infamous ssautochrome ebay kit. Now that i have the parts out of the box and am putting the manifold on, i can really see how crappy these parts are. The flanges arent straight, the welds on the manifold are horrendous and the hardware they supply is crap.

Any reviews on the "HKS GT2" style wastegates? Just curious how well these'll hold up.

I'm running a knock off 35mm wastegate. It works fantastically and just in case I have another that i paid practically nothing for https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif
I'm also running a knock off SSQV; as far as i can tell its working just like a real ssqv. It had a nast leak and then when i tightened the bolts on it it stopped leaking; that was my fault though as I took it apart when i first got it and I guess i went brain dead putting it back together.

Not all of their stuff is junk;

Whats funny is that after switching to a BMC log, he ended up getting another SSAC, now the car is for sale. I wish I had got a shot of his destroyed oil pan and oil pickup.

ssautochrome https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emthdown.gif

my shit was sooo bad... i had the kit on for about a month for my very first turbo kit... the filter connected to the turbo flew off the freeway while my wastegate flange from the exhaust manifold cracked and fell off, resulting in a fukked up wastegate... and when i open it up... y do i see a spring in 2 pieces? and if thats not enough, there were several spider cracks on the welds already and i only been using this for less than a month. ahh yesss and the good part... the oil seals are gone on the turbo to. sorry i got no pics to post, just letting yall know my experience with them. and after i tried to get my warrenty they wouldnt even email me back so i had to take actions in my own hands and get my money back from the credit card co. those guys are dicks, and im sorry to say i got sukkerred... never again, never again!

Re: WARNING: SSAUTOCHROME, XSPOWER, ETC. (TheMostHated)

I know of people who had good "luck" with the ebay parts. However, when you even say "luck" and engine parts that is definitely a roll of the dice.

I would never leave my mode of transportation to "luck", especially after you spent thousands in both money and time.

I know reputable dealers part will fail, but it's definitely not the 50/50 chance you take with some ebay parts.

Because of the high success rate of the products on topic. Surely 1 good out of 50 bad is a good rate for the lowballing Honda crowd.
