warmer than normal temperature on long trips
ok my antifreeze had a decent amount of water in it(more than 50/50, probably more like 75/25)
Do you guys think that would cause it to run warmer because the uncorrect mixture and more than normal amount of water burns off?
my intercooler also blocks my radiator alot could that be it?
I was driving home to see the family its about a four hour drive if there are no stops and I had to pull over about 5 times to bleed my coolant lines and put more antifreeze in. I noticed when i would do a pull it would burp warm on the temp gauge
the setup is tuned by a super reputable tuner on 24psi. built block except sleeves fully built head eagle rod/vitara set up.

this seems to be pretty common for FI setups. the intercooler blocks the rad and after a while the temp slowly climbs. are you datalogging? what temps were you seeing?
also im confused on why you would need to add coolant? do you have a leak or is it boiling out of the overflow? pull off the bumper and see if that helps

Re: warmer than normal temperature on long trips
found out the radiator may have a leak not sure yet. just cruising on the highway not really boosting when on long trips. but yea I found out the drain screw for the radiator was a bit loose but ill check it out when I have time.(mid term tomorrow for psych and then 50% of my grade do for tech communications) and on top of it all car decides to give me little ****.

Re: warmer than normal temperature on long trips
get better fans and run some kind of water wetter solution instead of antifreeze, do you live in the part of Florida where there are freezing temperatures??

since you have an ek, the intercooler blocking the radiator isn't a HUGE deal, since you have an upper grille. just gotta make sure the air isn't going around it.

Re: warmer than normal temperature on long trips
pretty sure I fixed it. had a very small leak(the drain plug was little loose and while idleing would drip probably a drop every 30 seconds
higher pressure while cruising on the highway causes a faster leak and air bubbles to form. and the anti-freeze to get lower and lower.
that was annoying lol.
