ware to buy a dyno???
i am looking at putting in a dyno, but im not sure ware to get one and how much they are. any shop owners or anybody that would now, can u tell me ware i can get one, how much , and what complany and modle are the best...
P.S, this is not a BS post, i am looking at looking at getting one, but i am just starting my reseach on it tho...

i just started thinking about getting dyno.. thare are no chassia dynos in my city, so i fugured if i was the only one with a dyno i would have the market cornerd....
the only reason i am realy askin gyour guys is becuase im sure alot of you have used them before, so i wanted feedback on what kinds u think are the best.....
i do skip english alot becuase i cant understand my prof...

they usually lease them to you for a monthly charge. go to dynojet.com. they are usually in excess of 50k but you can find them used sometimes for 20k

I'd go with teh dynojet...A guy close me has a dynopack(watercooled and everything).
The dynopack puts out way less HP than the dynojet
plus the dynopack is spendy. The good thing is that it's more portable than a dynojet

we use a land and sea dyno. It is a double roller and seems like it has better traction then some of the single rollers. It also spins both ways so U can use it as a engine dyno for a honda as well.
here, I'll answer this post honestly.
You're considering a large investment, but just by having the dyno does not mean you'll have customers. I was the second in my area to have a dyno, the only one to advertise it, and it still was a flop for 2.5 years. You need to make sure there is a market for it first and foremost. Second, just having it and advertising it, along with a market, doesnt mean you know anything about tuning, and it means less that anyone will trust you to dyno their cars to learn on them. Finally, expect to spend about 38-45k for everything you need to get started.

damn, 35k-50k? thats not bad, i may get one for my garage, and also maybe put one at my girlfriends house incase i get bored, anybody else want one? Christmas is right around the corner....

and just to let u know i am not the only one buying it, my dads best friend owns a multi million $$ enginnering company, he is looks at getting a dyno, windtunnle, and doin stuff like flame test and load testing, and other **** like that....
