Default WANTING TO TURBOT NEed Advice...

Hi,

I Drive a EG Civic with B18c (vtir) with following mods.

Engine
B18C Block with extra Holding pin add on (as the block guard)
Crankshaft Type R
Con Rod Type R
Piston – Civic Type R (Jap Spec) Oversize
Upgrade oil plugs
Full Balancing
B16A Cylinder head port and polish
Integra Type R camshaft
Integra Type R intake manifold
Upgrade valve springs
JG cam gear

Gearbox:
Integra Type R 5 Speed with LSD (Type R gear)
Lightweight Flywheel balanced.
Daikin Exedy heavy duty Racing (SKO) clutch

Exhausts system:
VISION cat back + b-pipe and muffler (60.5).
Highflow cat
JDM Integra Mugen replica’s 4>1 Extractors.

Cooling System:
Integra Type R Radiator + Condensor upgrade

HONDATA S200

My setup is fairly high compression. I purchased a turbo kit off a mate of mine. It's an AVO TURBO KIT. with a highflowed GT28R turbo, manifold, dump pipe, cooler + flexi piping....also have rc 550cc injectors, walbaro fuel pump, AEM fuel press. regulator, greddy type s bov, .....and my car is already running Hondata s200

I was wondering if there is anyway to run a high compression low boost setup for now without me having to change my pistons, rods... i mean, would my setup work safely running lowest boost and a thicker head gasket?

Your help is much appreciated.
Cheers

i would say as long as you keep it 6 psi or less, and a good tune you can get away with it

that kind of compression and that turbo would make for an awesome street car... only thing i would advise is to get it tuned conservatively and make sure whoever tunes it knows what there doing!!!
