Default Wanting to go boost, got a couple of questions

Wanting to get rid of my nitrous stuff, and cams and boost here is what I have got
b18c1, rs 84.5mm sleeved
ls crank, eagle rods
arias pistons 10.8:1 If I remember right
gsr head with crower .5over ss valves, ti retainers, springs

I am wanting to leave the shortblock alone, only has about 1800 miles on it
should I just stick a thicker head gasket in it try to drop it to 10.3 or so, and run more boost, or leave it alone and be more careful. Also I have a skunk 2 manifold, should I keep it or go with something else. I am looking for around 400whp. What size turbo would work well for this application. Again, I am a nitrous guy so I am new to turbos, Any help is appreciated. I am searching, lots of info.

Why does everybody say, "I'm looking for about 400whp" like it's easy to do?

Come on, people. Why not shoot for something reasonable, like 200 hp? Not denying that 400whp is possible, but it certainly is not streetable, and would require massive amounts of modification to the powertrain and suspension to keep the car from breaking apart.

Because I am running about 350hp now and I am tired of filling bottles, and the car feeling like a turd all motor. The car had no problem holding that power, I wouldn't think 50 more would be that big of a deal. I would run it off into a river If I went through the work to turbo it, and It had less hp than it does now all motor

You're making 3x the stock horsepower rating and you aren't having any problems? I doubt that. That would also have to be a pretty massive shot of nitrous. Most mildly built V-8's can't handle a 200 hp shot.

And you are claiming to be making more than 200 hp now, with only a built rotating assembly, and stock cams?

The engine is not exactly stock, it has been built to hold the nitrous as well as run pretty good all motor, and I am not running a 200 shot, The only problems I have had with the car is two pressure plate failures do to junk clutches, not the increase in power. I appreciate your help with my turbo questions though. It is most helpful.

Here is a dyno readout from Crower on those camshafts:

They barely made 200 hp at 9000 RPM.

An easy way to shut people up is to post a dyno graph whether it be scanned or take a good pic of it. As far as making that much power......You cant go wrong with an sc61 and a full race or lovefab manifold. You already have the built motor. Did I read it right that your compression is 10.8:1? Thats real high for boosting much over 10lbs. Just remember tune, tune, tune.

Yes, that is what I was worried about, the compression I kind of high, I really don't want to change the slugs, That is why I was hoping I might be able to put a head gasket in it to drop it down to around 10 or so. thanks for your help. It seems many people feel the sc61 is the way to go.

i do believe 400 is very reasonable, and his damn car is already putting out 200 to the ground ALL MOTOR PLUS A HEALTHY DOSE OF N20, this is not a daily driver that has to be reliable. yes he has already broken 2 clutches, is that gonna stop him, NO!!!!! yo kid you need to do some research because i have done mine, i have ridden in the car on the bottle and it is already bloody fast, so when fast as phiuck gets old, what do you do? make it faster!

P.S. you posting **** from crowers site makes no damn difference because that is alot less motor that 12thstreet has.

thanks good bye!!!
later on KID!!!!!!
