Default Want to Boost, need help

Hey Everyone! I have a 1991 crx w/ b16 ...

I want to turbo my car quickly, so i was thinking...why not get an ebay kit, and just buy really good pistons and rods. and later down the road, replace the ebay parts with better parts.

I know it might sound dumb, and i might lose money in the long run, but right now im just wanting to boost my b16. any help?

The turbo is a t3/t4 ..with ebay piping, BOV, intercooler etc.

I know it can be done, some of my friends have ebay kits and they word just fine, they just cant turn the boost really high.

I just wanted to see what yall thought

thx for the help everyone

$20 says you'll be replacing those turbo parts before you even get the money to build the B16.

No kits, just piece together a nice setup, that way you can buy parts and save yourself some money along with learning a lot more about your setup.

The FAQ at the top of this page is a good place to start.

oh, thx man, so instead of getting...one whole kit..i could buy say..a garett turbo, and diff kind of mani etc. etc.

thx.

is it reasonable to get 300-350whp in a crx?

how much would that be- cost concern?

i was planning on spending 2k max, but if i have to save up for more, i will...

BASICALLY, i want my setup to be a nice setup, that doesnt kill my engine, but i have a turbo'd car that is fun to drive...like i said, without having to worry about stuff braking.

thx everyone for the help
