Default Walbro install on EF, help plz...

Can anyone explain the steps for installing a Walbro 255lph? I checked out theoldone.com; but it seems there is going to be a lot of fabricating done and I didn't think it was going to be that difficult as a bunch of people on here said it would be. I have the stock one unplugged and the top cover off. What do I need to do now to get the old one out/new one in (I haven't taken off the fuel cap or run the car, should I do this before I go any further?_)

take off the fuel pump cover, pull out the cover with the fuel pump attach.

undo the hose from the pump to the feed line, take the pump out of the bracket, put the cushion rubber cover from the old pump to the new one, then install the screen filter and the retainer...

then put it back in the bracket and zip ties is halfway in the middle....
