Walbro Fuel Pump GSS 342
Hi,
I got a bunch of walbro pumps from injectedperformance. The metal casing of the pump came in the shade of brownish/gold/silver. Are those original walbro pumps? The pumps i used to get are shiny silver, I used to get pumps from xenocron.

I am the vendor. I just want to reiterate the fact that we purchase our Walbro pumps from a direct Walbro warehousing distributor in the US. Unfortunately, these days, it is hard to tell real from fake by just looking at pictures. I haven't had the opportunity to check out one of the imitation "Walbro" pumps in person, but I hear that they look scary identical.
As for the actual color of the pumps.. it varies. Just last week, we received a couple of batches that had a bit of a "pearlescent" tint of greens and pinks on them. Others are plain silver, others have a gold tint to them. Considering that we order by the case-load, I would assume that we see the wide variance in the coloring of their metal.
I am not trying to advertise in this thread, however, one may check out a list of our satisfied Walbro customers in this thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1965766
Just remember, guys.. the only *true* way to make sure you get an authentic Walbro product is to buy from reputable resellers. There will always be a paper trail that leads back to Walbro directly
