vtec stays on?

Default vtec stays on?

i have a 95 gsr with a jdm front and a stock gsr motor with a turbo kit. for some reason my vtec stays on after its been engaged. so it stays on all the time. so it will make the car bog out. what could it be? i need your help...

Stock ECU?
If you are running a CROME map w/ no vtec pressure signal, it will do as you describe. Not mechanically, but it will stay on the high cam map until you cycle the ignition.

Have you verified w/ a test light on the solenoid?

its a chipped ecu...
yes i just got dyno tuned on crome pro..it did this before when i was tuned on a vafc...it while engage and stay on causing the car to bog out when its around 2k rpm...havent check the solenoid yet...what do i look for?

Contact your tuner as he should have already noticed this as being an issue while tuning the car & or should have known it was an issue with crome.

As described above, disabiling the vtec oil pressure switch causes the issue you are having on crome pro.

yea he told me about it...i already knew about it also but i thought it was the vafc doing it.. he said it might be the wiring...

connect the Vtec pressure switch signal wire and the vtec wire (pin D6 and Pin A4) together. this will solve the problem

naw the vafc was taken off when i got it dyno tuned...

I'd have to say it's the jdm front that's the source of your issues. It's annoyed that the rest of the car isn't jdm too...Ironically, I had the same problem. cross breeding ftl

Your tuner should not have let you leave with this issue
