Default vtec not working...?

i was just out to start tuning my car because i did a fresh forged build about a month ago. since i was breaking it in i didnt hit vtec for the whole month. now that the time has come, i finally took it over 5000rpm and the vtec didnt seem to kick in. the cast motor before the sound of vtec was quite noticable and you could definatly feel it. since im boostd i was thinking maybe i just cant hear it but im so used to it that i dont feel it anymore.

i made a new map and set vtec to 3000 and disabled the vtec speed check. well something definaly happens at 3000 rpm. it completly bogs and losses all power, but keep running. so is there such thing as a vtec bog? how do i fix this?

your mapis probably crossing over, but mechanically isnt.

remove the spool valve housing, and check it for debris.
