Default vortech supercharger help please

iv come here for help with a civic I just bought. mods are......

Stock B16 w/ 60k miles
B16 trans
Vortech V5 Supercharger on 8 psi with 3.33 inch pulley w/ aftercooler
P06 converted to P28 chipped and Tuned on Crome
MSD Blaster coil w/ cap and rotor
Greddy BOV
RC 550 injectors
Walbro fuel pump
4-2-1 header
No name cam gears and FPR

if I wanted to up my boost would I just need to buy the 3.12 pulley and a belt? iv also heard of upgrading to a crv crank pulley?if so how much boost will that be? these kits seem to be old and outdated so no1 knows anything about them. what do I need to tune this thing? im use to my srt4 and diablo software where I can monitor, datalog, and make changes with a hand held.

b4 u tell me to search please know that I have searched for 3 days and found nothing. I need info/fact from people that have owned or kno the vortech kits and I don't need to be told how much better a turbo kit is. any help is greatly appreciated. thanks

X pulley does not create X amount of boost it all depends on the flow characteristics of the engine. Going from a 3.33 to a 3.12 got me 2 psi over base line on my Mustang and a 2.95 got me 2 more psi. If the CRV pulley is bigger you will get more boost from it. Go to Vortech's website they have calculators for different blowers. Make sure you are not over-spinning the blower.

More boost=re-tune but that should go without saying. Another thing worth mentioning is the faster you spin the blower the more belt slip will be an issue.

Yea the b20 crank pulley will increase the boost but by how much I'm not sure, I would start with upgrading the blower pulley and see what it makes on the dyno might bet around 11 psi you don't wanna run more than that on a stock block anyway. Get a tuner to tune the engine on a dyno, your Crome software should be fine. Hondata s300 is also a great EMS to use.

W/the 3.12 pulley & crv crank pulley i have seen 12-15psi from most setups. I had the vortech kit but never ran it on my previous setup as I got power hungry and decided to go turbo instead mid way through. But anywho I have the dyno charts from the setup on a b16 and it went from 10psi on 3.12 w/stock crank pulley to 15psi w/crv pulley.

People tend to have some belt slip issues around the 15psi mark from what I have read. Kinda hard to get info on the subject as there are not many people with much experience with that kit on here. I do know there are a few people who have made 400+whp on this kit w.custom pulleys and such. I can look up those dyno plots later on if interested. The guy who I bought my previous kit from was on a stock b16 w/meth+water injection & was tuned at 10-11psi & 15psi.

Either way I would probably keep it at the 3.12 pulley+stock crank pulley for a stock engine/reliability sake. You should be right around 10-11psi.

PS: Buy good belts!
