VORTECH SUPERCHARGER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i have a vortech on my 99 si...i have a b18 ported head swap w/ crower turbo cams, valve springs/retainers. skunk2 IM and 10:1 compresion..stock bottom end. the only time the car really hauls is in VTEC. it feels like a "super VTEC" down low is quick..but no where near like a turbo would be. i like this kit for the "sleeper" ability. no intercooler or nothing..yet ive torn up many a turbo civics, kept up w/ my friends 420 hp WS-6. its a very well engineered kit. but the centrifigual supercharger is all top end...and its pretty insane i might add. its nice cause it dosent stress your motor till the top RPMS. im only at like 3 psi at 5k.
but its still quick enough for people to think im giving her all shes got. i like the kit, the BOV can get annoying if you want it to be quiet...but, hey, its a superchager, its gonna be loud. buy a used one, too $$ new

I had one on my SI, if you like simplicity then get one, if you ever plan on upgrading or want more hp, get a turbo thats what I did
