Default Vortech guys im in need of serious HELP!!!

i curantly own a vortch sc for my si. well ive had this kit for about a year and a half its been running 10psi for about 3 mos and 8 psi before.
well heres the situation i was getting off the highway to goto school this saturday and i started to hear a loud AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH sound and i thought it was my trannie so i took it up to my firends shop and opened the hood and sounds like its coming from the compressor but the sc still works well, my friend told me that it could be the bearings well here are my questions.
i read in sport compact mag just before i bought this kit that it has a 3 year warrenty, but now im told that it only has a one year warrenty is that correct?
what would cuase the bearings to go bad? and how much do you think it will cost if i ahve to pay out of pocket to rebuild this compressor. i was jsut on the vortechs web site and looks as if jsut to buy a new compressor its like 1900 bux which i dont have. please help me!!!and could it be soemthing else other than bearings?? i really do not want to spend the money to get it fixed cuase i have no money rite now. and also the down time (i only have one car)

Is there any black dust on pulleys that are near the blower pulley? If you can, take the head unit off and check for side play in the shaft or any bent fins or anything, and if nothing, put it back on the car and crank down the belt tensioner, it could just be belt slip.

Try really cranking down the belt or buying a new belt for it, if that doesn't help call up vortech and see about repairing it.

If one of your tensioner pulleys broke that makes me pretty sure that it's just too loose of a belt. Like I asked earlier, is there any fine black belt dust around the blower pulley in the engine bay?

I just took Blowensi's charger off of the car and there was alot of fine dust inside the shaft. It was more of a brown color, and there is no shaft play, all the fins look good, and the only thing that we found was that the shaft is really hard to turn, almost too hard to turn by using your fingers.

I'm a former owner of an A-trim, B-Trim, T-trim, YS-trim Cogged and Serpentine, and an X-Trim on me and my dad's 1000 RWHP semi race car, along with some prochargers and a novi 2K so I have some experience with centrifugals. The dust on the pulley shaft is a sure sign that the belt is stripping, my YS would make 17 pounds of boost with a fresh belt and then after 2 weeks of driving it would top out at 11 or 12 psi because the belt was slipping a ton and started to glaze over, and it would cover the underside of the hood and all the other accesories in dust.

but the belts are located on the driver side of the car and the vortech is located on the passanger side what drives the charger is a shaft that is connected to the pulley on the driver side and the charger which is on the passanger side so if the belt were slipping i would think id be able to hear the noise on the driver side of the car but im hreaing it form the passanger side where the vortech compressor is. so i was wondering could it still be the shaft??

just take the belt off and spin the blower by hand and see if it makes noise and check it for bearing play up and down..

the vortech isnt making any noise if we spin it with our hand and spins freely but the shaft is a bit harder to spin. so i dont know whats going on im gonna send it to vortech and have it checked.

Its probably the belt... Does it sound anything like mine in this video? (Near the end you can hear the belt start to squeal.)

the compressor has no shaft play and spins with no grinds but i dont understand y the noise sounds like its comming from the compressor.
