I don't understand. The B18C vortech tested by Honda Tuning only produced 245HP and a 14.9 sec timeslip, while the Vortech Civic SI tested by SCC produced 272HP and a 14.4 sec timeslip. It seems the B18C would outdo the B16A?

 

i wonder if they are running different boost levels. either way, remember that peak HP numbers mean nothing, especially when dealing with the vortechs

 

The Vortech kit for the Civic Si came out before the GSR. This same car you're speaking of was given to Car and Driver as well (I think) with a few extra goodies installed to impress the press. The Si had a Kaaz LSD, but ended up exploding before C&D could complete the test during a top speed run. I'm sure a B18C with the same options would win.

 

yes the Si was pushing alot more boost than the gsr. now how many VSC Si's do you see with the base kit making 277WHP<<<<<<none The company really played with the numbers to make this one happen
