Depends on where he got it from. If it is from a drag kit, I know it's 12:1.

They should have a product number stamped right into the unit. On mine it never said Vortec or anything....just the code. I did a search and found out it was a Vortec 12:1. Hope this helps.

well obviously this unit is the color blue and it has vortec writen in about two places. but I'm not sure where it came from. my boi got it off our other boi that just put together a custom kit, so no telling where he got it form, i'll look at it in the morning when I get off work. I'm going to be running a stock block d16z6 w/ 16G turbo walboro fp, and dsm 450 cc inject. what ratio type FMU would I need. 12:1, ect. or does it matter. any suggestions would help.

boi is spelled boy just fyi. I would really suggest not using an FMU. You will have a lot better running car by using a real engine management system such as hondata.

if the disc inside is as big as the cover then it is a 12:1. If its a little bit smaller it is a 10:1 and so on and so forth.

You don't I repeat DO NOT want to use an fmu when running 450cc injectors...you will be EXTREMELY rich and will have no way to trim the fuel back.
