vitara boost problem went from 22 to 10psi
so my vitaras been running on 8 psi with a common .63 trim t3/t4 for the last 1.5 years. I just turned the boost tuned with crome to 22 psi. It a couple small boost leaks, but it has a boost problem. The first 5 runs it hit 22 no problem then the next few it only hit 15 and it would cut out. Then a couple more and it only hits 10psi now. Its like this, motor runs fine and will go through the rpms but at a certian rpm the boost will stop rising and the motor rpms cut out slightly (but still rises and barely notice it). vac gauge is reading like 15 hg idle (which is a little low i know). What do you think the problem is?

I had a similar problem. Turned out to be my distributor. try swapping it out for another if you have a spare lying around or if you could borrow one from someone to test. Good luck.

Thanks, thats a good idea that i didnt think about. It ha a constant misfire. I was thinking it probably needing a new cap and rotor but it couldnt be the igniter althoguh that usually happens with sputtering around 3k rpm. Ill give it a try though and see what happens soon.

theyll be fixed soon, but thats obviously not the reason for it doing this. Im going to switch some dizzy guts and see what happens
