Default Video of me at the track

I went to the track last week and I don't know if I should be happy w/ my time. I was running on low boost which is 13psi b/c I was on pump gas. My high boost is 20psi. I was on drag radials. I though I would grip w/ them but I was obviously wrong. My 60ft time was a terrible 2.2. It was my first time at the track w/ this car since I built the motor so I didn't really know how to drive it. I only got one pass b/c the track was disgustingly packed. And then some guy ended up leaking oil from the 1000ft mark all the way to return road. That little event shut down the track for a good hour and a half. So its not like I got a couple of runs to work on my time. So my only run went like this. With a 60ft time of 2.2, I ran a 12.9 at 113mph. What do you guys think. The link to the video is below.
http://abolish.wickednet.org/gsrturbo.mpg

Anything you guys say is welcome. And what do you think I would have run if I would have not spun so much, and what do you guys think I would run on high boost. Also, it looks like I hit the brakes going down the track. I don't remember hitting them so I think its just the camera focusing or something so I'm really not sure, unless I hit them by mistake. But if I did hit them, it wasn't on pupose so don't think I'm a dummy or something.

well you didnt hit the brakes because your third brake light didnt go on. Other then that it looked like a clean run. With slicks and your higher boost setting you should be looking at some 11 second time slips

113 mph is good enough for a really low 12 second run. Lets say u got a 1.7 - 1.8 60ft. On 20 psi of boost, I would expect low low 11 second passes and with some weight reduction tricks maybe even a high 10. What u need to get is a good set of slicks and some practice, and u will be fine. Good job on a 12 second run, thats a very fine accomplishment for a first time at the track.

Dont sweat it. Go back to the track soon and get 3-4 runs in. Your cars potential is definately low 12s or 11s..just keep trying.

Yea, it was a Vette. But I find them slow already, unless they have a lot of work done to them. Look at my profile to see what I have done to the car.

TurboGSR..........

A local guy went 12.91 @ 108 mph in a 5g HB with a B18BLS, Greddy D turbo setup, Starion IC with new endtanks, and 22x8x15 slicks.

That being said, you need TRACTION! As most know to walk a LS1 vette in 4th gear is saying alot!

What PSI where you running in the DR's? I would suggest starting at 18 psi and going downward to as low as 12 psi if needed. Also a 2 step box to launch better might help.

good work! More practice is all you need. For more traction, either invest in some slicks, some Z10 bars, or both.

That pass was made at 13psi. The 386HP at the wheels was at 20psi. I had 15psi of air in the Drag Radials. And the Hondata has a Two-Step which was set at 3500 for the Drag Radials.

Kewl run! You definitely need to visit the track and get few more runs. If this car was intended for the streets, I say run with your drag radials until you get consistency with them and then switch to slicks and see how much time it dropped. At least that's what i would do.

Are u still running the GSR tranny..does it have LSD?..if u still got that GSR Tranny youll prob pick up like 3 tenths if u ditch the GSR Tranny and go with an LS tranny..and a few tenths too if no LSD and u install that.

I'm still running a GSR tranny in my car and I don't have an LSD. I plan on sticking w/ my GSR tranny but I want to invest in the Z10 bars and an LSD. That should help a lot, and obviously, the slicks. TurboR, where are you by, I would love to meet up.

It didn't give me an 1/8 mile time or mph. I really don't know why either. Are you the turboR these people are telling me to race? If you are, I don't think I want to race you anymore. You have 434 at the wheels man!!! But I'll still race ya for fun. Low boost on low boost.

I liked that video.

it was cool seeing you all of the sudden have traction in third gear and totally slingshot by the corvette.

I run a 12.74 @ 110 mph with a 2.0 60' time on 14psi of boost.

i think you have alot more potential then me. Keep it up!

This SOHC went from 16.67 to 13.55 with just easy bolt-ons.

YES ZEX nitrous kit is a easy bolt on as are slicks!

Aw gawd... dont run against TurboR! hehe, Sherbaz has one sick R.. his old setup netted him 460whp. Now he's redone everything.. looking at more hp and faster times than 11.8. heheh.. I would love to see the race tho. Hey Sherbaz, I've been wanting to ask you a few questions about your car. Do you still have the stock R LSD? I think Ryan said you might get a Phantom Grip?? Whats up with the LSD issue.
