Victor X: Yay or nay?
I have a Victor X manifold that I got from a friend and I was wondering if I should put it on. Would it suck *** since my setup is pretty weak? I know it will create better high end, but this is daily driven, so I don't want the low end to suck ***.

Alright. One for yay.
I know it helps top end, but is my low end going to suffer greatly. This manifold is huge compared to my Skunk2 (I could practically fit it inside). Is it a good idea on a sub 300 whp setup?

Sure. My low end has been great with the two motor setups that I've had. BTW, low end will also only lead to smoked up tires... mid-top end is where its at...

Good point. If I don't like it, I could always fall back on the Skunk2 manifold and sell off the Victor X.
Thanks for your input.

yay for the vic x. it is a great intake.
(secretly hoping for a windfall for the f-r intake though)

you said it, im waiting for the b16 one also. i called them yesterday and they said call in a month. so does this mean that the one available right now is only for gsr heads or i thought it had both bolt patterns?

..manifold is excellent for built high compression all motor cars.

very true, but if u just have regular bolts ons on a stock motor it might be a lil much for that, imo

..imo, you shouldn't even mess with the manifold if all you got is bolt-ons on a stock motor

People are so quick to toss out their B16 IM. Its a great manifold and a ported (or extrude honed) b16 im is great for street use. Nevermind what peak numbers everyone else is making on aftermarket IM's. Its important to make broad power on a street car.
I vote Nay.
for a useable powerband.

Re: (ella94)
for my first build, i ported and polished the b16 intake, not sure if it was holding me back or helping, but i made about 375 whp on 14 psi, b16a2 84mm block, b16 p&p'd head, 3" exhaust, t3/t4

Re: (tgh99si)
I just swap my jg/Edelbrock to blox. Man, I like the blox much more than the jg/edelbrock. I can feel more low end power and mid range. My car hardly see any high end power. Mostly street driven.

Hmmm. Now you have me stuck in the same predicament I was in when I started the thread.
I am going to have to think about it for a while, but I may just end up selling the manifold off and making a little money since the Skunk2 works perfectly fine for me right now.
