Default VDO dash bezel? Better than ill fitting autometer?

I prefer to keep my gauges hidden from view. From reading it seems that the autometer dash bezel is of poor fitting quality, but I can't find any reviews of the VDO unit. Any input?

Thanks but that's not what I'm looking for. I still want something that I can take a quick look at while on track.

I don't recall reading anything about poor fitting Autometer bezels. The problem is that most of them are scratched. After having problems with 3, including one replaced under warranty, and another sent from the factory to customer service to be inspected, now I'm finally dealing with someone at the factory. According to him, there have been problems "and we've heard about every one of them," so this past Monday, they were supposed to start using a new plastic. I haven't received it yet, but should soon.
