Valves in B18c1
I recently decided to rebuild my gsr. I want to boost. I am not sure if I am going to purchase manley turbo tough rods or eagle H beams. I am shooting for 500whp. I am using wiseco pistons with a 9 to 1 compression. I have buddyclub valves in there. They are flat, are they ok to run with a turbo, or is it a must that I buy new valves?

Re: Valves in B18c1 (BMO98GSR)
it all depends on total compression including head gasket thickness, was the head decked, block decked. with 9.0:1 compression and flat valves i believe it would put you at about 9.4:1 which is fine. it's all in the tune. there's people that run upwards of 9.8:1 or more on built turbo motors with no issues. it also depends on the amount of boost. i would go with eagle's i see so many motors pushing them even past 600hp with no problems. eagle's are my preference.
