VAFC Hack Dyno?
As people were discussing about the VAFC hack, which only uses DSM 450 cc injectors with a upgraded fuel pump,
no missing link or check value nor FMU
It sounded great so far for everybody
but is there anybody that is going to go to the dyno and see how much power it made??
Because VTC_CIVIC has dynoed his civic at 6 psi with HONDATA and got something like 180 WHP, i want to see if the VAFC can get close to this
it would be good if VTC_CIVIC can go dyno his car using the VAFC hehehe
if anybody has done it, post numbers please
thanks

Re: VAFC Hack Dyno? (xbird)
if ya wait about a month I'll have a dyno up for you. I'm going to be running the v-afc/injectors hack on my setup (T3 60trim, .60a/r, .48 a/r turbine) but i'd only be boosting like 6psi or whatever the .45bar ends up being after pressure drops. I am thinking about dyno tuning it just to get it running nice. Like I said though... probably not till like mid august I would have that done.

Re: VAFC Hack Dyno? (98civicEX)
oh yah i remember that post. I'm going to be running that v-afc trim/450cc/walbro setup also but with a t3 60-trim. I'm wondering if my numbers would be much higher than a tdo4-15g at the same boost level. The tial w/g i'm gonna be running is a 6.5psi spring so I'm guessing like 5-6psi with pressure drop. I was thinking I could pull something like 160whp at this level. Does that sound realistic?

Actually, I think thr Super 60 is a T4.. I may be wrong though. T3 should spit out a good 170ish whp at 6psi with the AFC-mod. Probably 190ish on Hondata

nice #s
i want to see some STOCK boost or 6 psi dyno numbers
i mean hondata can make 180 whp at 6 psi, can a VAFC get close?? like 160?? or 170??
with the greddy kit intercooled fuel pump injectors VAFC

Re: VAFC Hack Dyno? (CivicRyda2k)
i hope we can get 160 whp just with the VAFC,
i think we can coz i think hondata is making 20 whp more
if this is so, i don't think it's worth the money for a hondata if boosting only under 10 psi
i mean at 160 whp to 200 whp range, it is not hard to get 20 whp
once u get into like 300 whp or up, 20 whp is hard to get, and that's the time hondata kicks in for that 20 whp, and that's the time hondata is worth the money
just my 2 cents
how much does a GSR hybird civic I/H/E make on the wheels??
or a SI civic make? I/H/E?

Re: VAFC Hack Dyno?
yeah i would love to see a dyno with no boost spiking
i dyno'd 172 whp and 165 tq at 8.5 psi
this is without vtec, d16y7
and a 12:1 fmu with a walbro 255lph fuel pump
i think those are some fairly good numbers from an fmu setup
no tuning at all
but i think i can make a bit more from a vafc hack setup
well not think, i hope
