Hi, i have installed a vafc in my stock civic si 93 hatch ( d16z6, p28 ecu)
It worked fine ran it for a month with no cel.
Last week i installed some second gen dsm 450cc because i am going to turbo the mad "D"

As recommend, i used new seal... i bored them out, i used 10watts 10ohms resistor... My engine i still stock so i set injector to shoot 46% less fuel because 450cc will dump too much fuel. 450cc -46% = ~240cc 239.2....exactly like oem injector.

Anyway... i started the car and it idle fine, run fine when i go for a test drive...
But i while i was on the higway my cel light up... CEL 3... map sensor!
The cel light up when i release throttle on 3rd 4th or 5th gear, if i release throttle and put the stick on neutral cel wont come, WTF!!! I did remove the fuse for the ecu so it should have reset...
i heard a lot of people had this problem... anyone can help?

 

I got this exact same code....I sautered all my connections....code went away.

Your wiring must not be giving off a good enough current.

 

i did solder all of my connection but i'll take a look again

 

set the sensor to 6 in and 6 out.

Thanks for your help, but it was already set at 6 in 6 out. There was no code with my stock injectors and now there is one with dsm injectors...

 

well injectors have nothing to do with the map sensor, you might have the map input and output wires switched.

when i had my SFC-VTEC on my N/A car i only got the code when i went over into + % on the settings since it was too much, the ecu took *****...

i guess u are too low.. try -40% all across

thats not youre problem. when does the light come on??? is it only when you boost???

i dont think he's boosting yet (from his first post)
the exact same problem happened to me, no code even whn im boosting, but a second or two after i take my foot of the accelerator, it throws code 3.
it turned out tht my sensor in and out settings were wrong...now dont think im dumb...i set it right whn i installed and it was running fine for a couple of months.

im guessing ur setings, wiring or maybe ur map sensor's busted.

omg... i feel so stupid... my setting were all wrong! must be when i removed the battery... damn it! Now its working thank you guys!
