Default Vacuum hose question

My vacuum hoses now (stock ones) are 5mm... would using 4mm be just as good or even better for BOV, wg, FMU? (They are all off the fpr). I'm not looking for a performance gain here, but if in the process to make my appearence better I could get a better suited mm rating hose I'll get that...

Main question, is bigger diameter or smaller diameter better for vacuum hoses for BOV, FMU, WG?

as long as the walls are thick enough to handle the pressure, you should be ok...sometimes higher pressue can cause the walls to cave in and pinch the air flow...so be careful

what is the recommended size vac hoses??? would using a smaller diameter vac hose for the tial wastegate lower the boost levels? i'm not getting much boost with the tial wastegate after i took out the delta because the fitting on the deta has a smaller diameter fitting hole for the hose. and the hose from the deta doesn't seem to fit the tial.

btw: stock hoses are 5mm?
