Default Using wastegate with boost controller.

If i'm to have a tial wastegate and don't want to run any higher than what the spring rating is, do I need a boost controller in that case?

Lets say its .45bar spring, will boost controller have more control so it don't go over .45bar?

Thanks

if you want to run at the rating of the spring in the wastegate, then you dont need a BC.

if you dont want to go over .45 just leave the top fitting open to atmosphere. dont put in the boost controller if your not gonna use it.

You do want to use a boost controller even if you just want to boost what the spring rate is. Heres why; Running a wastegate without the boost contoler will let the wastegate start opening up earlier then what the spring rate is. With a boost contoller on there, it will keep the wastegate completly closed until the desired boost and let it open at once.
