Default Using a Fuel Pump as a water pump, for a liquid intercooler?

... OK now since no one has posted about it, I assume there is a problem why It wont work. I have a DX pump that I just removed which just couldnt keep up with my fuel needs. So I upgrade, no I got a stock fuel pump worth nothing, and I thinking about puting together a liquid IC setup made from some sheet metal and a DSM intercooler. could this DX pump work as a water pump for the intercooler?

I guess you could try it out. Can't hurt right? If it doesn't work, go to Wal Mart and buy a 12V marine pump for like $12 and that work really well.
