Default using an adapter flange hurt performance

i got eg coupe

b18b

i have a t3 manifold and i have a t4 turbo...

either i can buy the flange and bolt it together

or

just buy a t4 mani....\

if i use the adapter its more chances for exhaust leaks... and would it hurt performance cuz air has to flow through a smaller manifold into a bigger turbo.. i need some advice

why? you already know the answer, buy the correct manifold for your turbo and choose a manifold around your hp goal
