Urgent catch can question
New to the turbo game and I'm helping a friend pick out a catch can for his LS turbo, will this single inlet catch can work just fine or do I need one that has two inlets?
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/MOR-85500/ This is the one.
He has a valve cover that has been tapped and has two fittings on it, could we just converge hoses from each fitting into one and run it to the catch can that way?
Quick, thoughtful responses would be much appreciated!!
Thanks!

Re: Urgent catch can question
ebay has two inlet catch cans for about 20-40 dollars. get the 750ML one. I recommend the valve cover, and the pcv hose to the catch can. I will be pushing 300whp soon and I am still not running a catch can. valve cover hose just hangs down and the pcv hose is chillin out in the open.

Re: Urgent catch can question
my brother just bought the ebay one for his 400whp grand prix, modifying it with a valve on the bottom for easy drain, and sealed all the fittings with rtv. Works just fine. I rather spend 20 bucks then 100 bucks.

Re: Urgent catch can question
Yeah, we are replacing an EBAY one with this........ IMHO I've always found myself replacing every one of my EBAY parts with brand-name, seems cheaper just to do it right the first time. Thanks for the quick replies!

Re: Urgent catch can question
Ebay parts can work ok in some instances, like a catch can, its just a damn catch can.
Although I would also vent from the block and the valve cover.
All you need is a cheap catch can with 2 inlets, and a open breather port on top.
Merge the 2 valve cover hoses together and into one port on catch can.
Connect the other port to the black beather box under the pcv valve with the pcv valve removed.

Re: Urgent catch can question
what size are the fittings on his valve cover? the moroso unit has one -12 fitting. for the price, you should look into products from B&R Fittings. he is a site sponsor and makes awesome products. you can get a 2 inlet can for cheaper than the moroso unit
