Default Updated pics of the project.

Finally got the car back last Friday. Been busy getting all the electrics and brakes back in. Lot of work, but definatly worth it. Shouldnt be long now. Dont pay any attention to the black tape, new windshield.

The begining

Some resembly done.

Now some pics of the motor and new turbo. Dont flame me too much on the manif. With a little touch up welding and a little bracing I dont see any future problems.

Notice the upside down L shaped brace. Carries almost all the weight of the turbo. No weight on the manifold. Check the second pic for where it attaches to the bolck.

The next time I post It should be done and I'll have some dyno numbers up.

NICE, did you have to undo the hard brake lines when you're painting the engine bay ?

Alittle info on the set up : NEW SC61, 720cc injectors, Hondata s200, and all the little stuff. Gona run 10psi for now (Tony1 tuned) untill I build the bottom end next spring. Stock JDM GSR. Should be fun for a while.

All in the tuning. Plan on 10-11. If I get the 3bar map I might go for 12-14. Really depends on what Tony1 thinks.

nice set up! just out of curiousity, the oil return to the oil pan, as it being so low, wouldn't it cause a problem?

How could it cause a problem? Its about as straight down as you can get. Dont forget that an oil return for a turboed honda is gravity feed.

how long did it take you to strip out the entire car to paint everything??? In your opinion was it worth gutting the entire thing to a shell to paint? nice job btw..

What color (specifically) is that? Looks darker than anything like VSM. Car/turbo/engine look awesome!

Nice work.

I believe what he means is that the pan is tapped too low. Where the line sits on the pan, it will be hard to drain since its going into the bottom of the oil, causing the line to be backed up. There is no pressure to push the oil from the line, into the bottom of the oil pan. If it was tapped higher on the pan, it would just drip into the oil from the top with no effort. I hope you see what Im saying. I would shorten the line, tap about 1-2 inches higher and 1-2 inches towards the flywheel.

Besides that
