I don't have my block back yet, but here are the posts that I had a machinist friend of mine make for me. He did a bitchin' job!

Reference to see just how large the posts are, I'm guessing.

That looks like a ESD mat underneath everything..
<---My contribution to the notice everything but the actual intent of the photo routine.

Yep, it is an ESD mat. I took the pictures at work. Right now the block is on a bench in the lab. I hope nobody complains.
Anyway, here are the pics. They are big, but I wanted everyone to see the gory details.

sonny it looks good, how much did it cost for the the drilling and tapping of the block?
I notice that you are using only 12 post, is there a reason for that?
BTW how do you get clean the rust off the cylinder wall?
Thanks

I put 12 posts in the block at the locations that Larry @ Endyn told me to use.
The cylinders will get cleaned out when the block goes in for boring/honing to get the pistons fitted.

Posting and blockguards are an economical way to reinforce the block when subjecting them to lots of boost. Resleeving is the "ultimate" way to do it, but new sleeves are very costly.

I plan on running 15 to 20 psi of boost. People regularly run 10-12 psi on stock sleeves. Some people who are really on top of their tuning have gotten away with more than that on stock sleeves. However, since the engine was already torn apart, I figured that I might as well reinforce it.

There are 2 stud's per cylinder on ONE side + 1 stud per cylinder on the other.
The amount of boost you can run depend's on so many other thing's it's not worth giving you an awnser, but I can say that they Should hold around 20psi.

Never really talked to Larry about it, but I was worried about the long term effects of thermal expansion working on the sealant your going to use on the posts... I'm sure you asked that of him Sonny, what'd he say?
Sonny,
A couple qwik Q's for ya:
1.) are those studs the same aluminum alloy as the block? What alloy is it?
2.) How much do you torque the studs to?
3.) Where in the heck do u get Dev Con liquid aluminum, and how much is it?
4.) I know you got where to tap the block via Larry, but how does one determine this? Would those locations work just as well on a B Series?
5.) Do u know anything about endyn's forum? I have been outta the technical areas for about a year, I can back and the forum is down. The email address is have my SN registered under is no longer valid, so maybe i missed something?

Hey Zeus: Long time, no see. As far as the sealant coming loose, he said not to worry. He said that there are many people who have been running the same setup for years without problems. A couple of guys here (-TJ and Jeff) report no problems with sealing after extended use. TJ said that his block has been working fine for several years now.

Good work on the block posting sonny. If I wasn't such a puss, I wouldn't mind doing it to my block. But the LS turbo is kinda "shoe-horned" into my CRX
