Unchecked MAP
Alright, so I'm pretty much a turbo newb here....
I just got m kit on yesterday, running a .57 trim TO4e, Peakboost mani, DSM 450's, Walbro 255, MSD BTM Box, 2 step colder plugs. Monitoring with EGT, Oil Pressure, AEM UEGO. Right now I'm just trying to AFC tune until I can get Hondata bought here in a month or so.
The car boosts just fine, spikes 6psi and holds 5psi. Once the car is in boost at WOT it feels like it doesn't pull, more or less just bogs down. Slower than stock. At crusing RPM and throttle %'s the car runs the same A/F ratio as it did stock. The very first time I hit boost at WOT I had only pulled back -10 on the 450's and the A/F ratio pegged the gauge at 10.7, I took away some fuel thinking that might help the sluggish situation but to no avail.
I'm running the MAP sensor unchecked, no missing link...nothing. I tried running a 2 way check valve in the MAP line but the car would only idle, once I would try to take off it would die. But here is the question...
If the MAP sensor is seeing the boost, will the ECM retard ignition timing largely causing the car to stop pulling?
If so, would a missing link solve this problem?
I know alot of people are going to give me **** for AFC tuning but right now it's all I can do to make the car driveable until I get Hondata, I'm not looking for big numbers right now, I'd atleast just like the car to actually pull in boost.
Thanks.
EDIT: Car is not throwing a MAP CEL under boost. Also could the plugs be too cold for the setup? Should I switch back to the stock plugs?

Your using a hack. Its going to run like a hack job of a tune.
Sell some stuff off, get the proper ecu & do it right.
