Default Un-identified CEL

I threw code 18...ain't that a bitch!!! WTF is 18? Either way, I pulled the battery terminal off and it reset the ecu and knocked off the CEL.

BTW....already searched!!! Thats why the name of this thread is Un-identified CEL! And no I didn't read it wrong...why the **** do you think I posted it? Because I was an idiot and didn't know to look it up in my Helms manual?

Wy are you getting all salty. You're the one who has the only CEL #18 in Honda history. Maybe you should call the corporate office and let them know to add a code 18 to the books. Or it might be 2 codes flashing or you just read it wrong. Either way it's obviously not an 18 because that code doesn't exist.

Its very possible that I may have a ghost code..people do have those. Just trying to figure out if anyone else has had that before. And no I did not read it wrong.....1 long flash and immediately following 8 short flashes. No pause inbetween the two flashes.

maybe a short in your system somewhere, the pariod in the long -- is shorted out thus giving you a short -. make sence? probably not.

i use to thorw a phantom code but i was running a pr4 computer (i hear they do that alot) when i switched to the p75 it stopped. When it threw the code it still ran fine but throttle response was alittle weird. I know this post isnt helping but i thought id share my experience.

Where can I find more information on this code? I tried searching the hondata forums and had no luck.
