Uberteg Software
Is anyone using Uberteg's software to burn their own chips with the Batronix programmer? If so, how do you like it? I want to buy it REAL bad, but Uberteg is being a little scarce in his email and I just want to make sure it's a quality product before I drop the money...

Re: Uberteg Software (J. Davis)
Still waiting for my chip and software from Stupidfast.com.
My ecu is getting prepped as we speak.
Couple of more weeks and I hope to be rolling again.
Its killing me seeing every one else in their cars but me! I figure it will be worth it though.

Re: Uberteg Software (Hybrid)
It always made me mad how much hondata is, since it's basically just a reprogrammed chip (albeit in a different box)...being able to burn my own chip is starting to arouse me
Does anyone know when datalogging might be available from them and what it will consist of? If it doesn't seem like something I would use, there's a $25 logger/software package for a PC linked from one of the diy-wb sites, but I can't find it...there's also an apparently FREE piece of software for the PalmOS on the techedge site...may be able to use that...

Re: Uberteg Software (ion_four)
I've recieved the chip today but, it didn't come with the software for some reason!!!!
I'm all ready togo, but no software. Not sure what's going on.
The batronix burner looks pretty easy to use!!! I can't what to put this in my car.

Re: Uberteg Software (swrdply400mrelay)
Chris (hatchblack - stupidfast.com) sent me a copy to play with until mine comes in.
But it was a exe file and outlook blocked it. Can someone zip it for me and sent it to me?
I know its on the site here but that don't seem to work any more.

Re: Uberteg Software (Hybrid)
i have the software in zip and i will not post it. uberteg would not appreciate that at all. its my understanding he sends it on CDs so its harder to copy.

Re: Uberteg Software (Hybrid)
I think the one you are talking about is the NA version (ie. no boost)...Uberteg posted it online, and gave it to me, but I'd have to check with him to make sure it's alright to share with the world

Re: Uberteg Software (ion_four)
i have the techedge 1.5v wb diy unit, which has datalogging to pc and palm already.
ok now comparitively to hondata.......
for NA.
is datalogging now available for the batronix/uber setup
what cant i do that i could with hondata...
is it possible to change settings with the chip still in the ecu?
also with hondata to tune without a hondata dealer and datalog, you need just the hondata, datalogging option, and rom editor?

Re: Uberteg Software (hybridvteceg)
it is possible to change settings on the ecu while still in the car you need an eeprom emulator.
if you want datalogging go to ecucontrol.com

eeprom emulator like the batronix programmer right? and without buying the uber kit, could you just find software and start off by burning the chips you buy at raio shack yourself?

Re: Uberteg Software (hybridvteceg)
I too want to hear some opinions on this uberchip, I wont have to worry about management for a while, but I want to see how everyone likes it. I like the idea of it, but something along the saying like "if it's too good to be true, it probably is" seems to come into effect here.

"and what can you do with hondata that you cant with his stuff?"(hybridvteceg)
For now, you can't control nitrous, you can't datalog, you can't change data on the fly, and you can't get replies as fast as Hondata.
Maybe he's really busy making improvements on the stuff.

Re: Uberteg Software (KOTSEMOTO)
Man, the big thing Hondata has that Uberteg doesn't is autotune.
Hondata has a good product, and the features and fluency of it keep people lined up for it. Uberteg has a good alternative at this point for people who want quality engine management, don't have a lot of money, and don't mind passing on a few fluffy frills (OK, OK, some really good features, too).
Uberteg's free to the public NA editor, which is 90% identical to the boost editor, can be found at http://pgmfi.crx-forum.org/. You can find it under the Development --> OBD1 forum, in the P72/P75 editor thread. IF YOU WANT TO POST please acquaint yourself with the site's disclaimer, FAQ, and the newbie thread in the General forum before you try. The site is newbie tolerant, but they loathe idiots who can't spend 5 minutes with the Search function.

Re: Uberteg Software (94goldjungsr)
uber's soft ware is well worth the money. you can't just tune your ecu but also tune your friends ecus too. and that to me is worth the money.
