put the chipped ecu you already have in and get it tuned. then, once you've researched and you're more comforatble with ud, go ahead and do some mapping and see what you come up with.

ok kewl...got it...so lets see if i got all this right...get a chip burnt for the BASIC specs for my motor...injector sizes...boost psi etc... use that BASIC TUNE UBERDATA CHIP/ecu to get to my tuner...then get the proper tune done there on the dyno...does everyone concure, or do i still have the wrong idea in mind...

Id just get a stock basemap. When you get your chipped ecu. Dont give specs or any of that bullshit, leave that up to the tuner.
Drive your car all prepared to be tuned/dynoed like an old women (Dont rev past 4k). If you have too, take the wastegate spring out so boost cant be made either.
Let the tuner make your basemap and then edit it from there.
Drive slow, get it tuned, then beat the **** out of it!

We have gone wayyy too far as it is.
First, we need to get a couple of things straight.
1. Are you a baby?
2. Do you want to learn or be breast fed from a boob?
3. Can you ReAD?
If you asnswered. 1. Absolutely... not , 2. no/heh "boob", 3. yes.
Then you should first go here http://www.pgmfi.org/twiki/bin...bHome
otherwise,(seriously) if you don't want to read and take time(some people don't have it). Then go with hondata.

Some day, you'll have to learn some stuff on your own. You'll have to be patient and read. Topics like this have been covered everywhere. And if that isn't good enough. Keeblers sight will put the baby food on a spoon and fly it into your mouth.
As for the ECU. I don't really understand what your asking? If you can swap ECU's? What engine/car do you have?

What ECU are you running currently? HONDATA will probably support it if it's OBD1. Swapping to a different ECU in your case, isn't going to make any difference as long as your car runs correctly on the one that is in it now. Is that what you asked?
