Default UBERDATA Info

Alright, let meget this right,I am by no means a guy that has electrical/chiping skils or what ever you call it.I have been reading up on uberdata and i have one question. What ALL do i need to run uber data?
Here is what i found what is needed so far:
0bd1 vehicle
"chiping" kit(i found one for $15 is this what they go for?)
soldering skills
Download "uberdata" from their website
laptop ofcourse

Is this what one would need to successfully tune a vehicle?

also,i found a site about uberdata and i think it said that you don't need a wideband if you have uberdata because it shows you A/F ratios.is this true?

Uberdata is new to me,and i seriously have no technological skills at all,but for some reason, the idea of tuning my car with my laptop is really intriguing to me.

If anyone has any info on uberdata please post as much as you know.

this is not true. you will need a wideband which will send its output to your ECU. then, uberdata will read that from the ECU. without a wideband, uberdata would be logging a useless narrowband signal from your stock sensor.

also, add a chip burner to your list. they're about $80 i think from moates.net
