Uberdata, how to disable vtec oil pressure sensor?
Does anyone know if its possible to disable the vtec oil pressure sensor with Uberdata? I cant seem to find the option but after searching this board it seems like it is possible.
I just converted to obd1 and the one harness clip I dont have is for that pressure switch. No luck finding one at the yard the other day so I ordered one off of ebay. I just want to clear the trouble code and drive the thing.
Do you think if I disable vtec it will ignore the sensor?

The trick for using the 1 wire vtec setup that is on JDM motors should work for this also. Just run the 2 vtec wires together at the ecu... jumper between them.
Or... run Crome

If I could get a wire on them I would so do that. The pins on that sensor are small and close together. I had a handfull of misc connectors and none fit. Guess I will drive with a CEL for a few days.
I'm referring to jumpering them at the ecu. Just trimming some shielding off and running a wire between them. Its the simple way to trick the ecu into ignoring the vtec oil sensor... since jdm setups don't have them in the first place.

in uberdata there is a function in the MISC menu to disable the VTP. but even if u do disable it, u will need to jumper a wire from pin A4 (VTEC) to pin D6 (Vtec pressure sensor) if u dont do this, once the car hits VTEC and comes out of VTEC, it will still try to read from the VTEC fuel maps. so u will need to connect A4 and D6 in order to solve this problem
