I emailed blake and asked him how much of a donation he would want to add 3 options to enable / disable injector test circuitry, Knock sensor, and PA sensor

Would you guys be interested in sharing the costs with me if he wants to do it?

It would remove the manual hex editing we have do do.

 

that would be greath then i can use uberdata on EDM ECU's i will sponsor blake if he wants to help us JDM / EDM guys (Y) !!!....

what about the ELD ??

i am not sure this is necessary. what about just using a JDM rom? it will have this stuff disabled...

afaik, a jdm rom won't open up in uberdata - correct me if I'm wrong.

 

I would be willing to donate for the addition of the sensor enable/disable options.

I'd like to know how much more I should donate for 3 bar support though Since he's already got 2 versions, he'd have to make another 2, it would almost be easier to just get ppl to donate for the full version with the added options. I doubt blake wants 4 versions of the code running around.

From this link, which ecu's address should I use to change the hex values on uberdata roms?

The addresses for knock etc are different for a p30 and p72 etc. from what I can tell.

edit: I guess the p72 ones since I believe that is what uberdata is based on.

I tried all the bins that uberdata came with All with the same results. I posted this earlier, on page one.

i thought i opened a jdm p72 bin in it.

i cant confirm now as i am under a deadline @ work

Arg, I can't find a jdm p72 rom to try, but check out this thread:

The jdm versions of the p30 and p28 doesent have the injector routine, i think..... maybe a jdm p72 work???

and

have found that the label_065F (p30usdm) is the label_063D in the p72....
and label_159A (p30usdm) is the label_153A in the p72....

maybe you can try some of that...

6002 1bit Knock Sensor Enable 0xFF enables, 0x00 disables
6004 1bit Barometric Sensor Enable 0xFF enables, 0x00 disables

0652 3 Injector test bypass #1 Change to J label_065F (03 5F 06)
1580 3 Injector test bypass #2 Change to J label_159A (03 9A 15)

but the wiki of pgmfi says that
600B 1bit Electric Load Detector Enable 0xFF enables, 0x00 disables
but if you read this post http://pgmfi.org/phorum/read.p...=3652 you will see in the botom that darksmilie thinks it has something to do with IAVC and Not with the ELD.

we have almost everything. but we dont have the ELD for sure........

i have talked about it with a Admin at pgmfi.org and he told me about the p72 base of uberdata ( i diddnt know that ) .
and he would help me if i had some questions.
so i will search some more and ask around and i wil get it working. :D for my setup.

Okay, I got a jdm p72 map, added boost, set rev limit, ftl, etc. Car starts, idles, and runs perfect.
I didn't mess with the fuel settings so it might be rich and the timing might be a bit advanced since afaik in jdm land they have higher octance than we do in the US. I haven't hooked up the wideband yet. Thats the good part.

The bad part is CEL, when I try to pull the code it won't give me one, but the SRS light blinks and stays on. So I figure it has something to do with airbags or something - looks like something else to look for in the hex editor.

At least its not limping, and I don't care about airbags, I just want the cel to go away.

i think there is a good explanation in the HElms manual of any obd1 car what the SRS light means

it probly is NOT an airbag issue. some codes are displayed on it also!

Anyone have an obd1 helms? - mine only covers 96-00.

also the solid CEL light tells me something is still missing or falsely added into the rom that the ecu doesnt want.

 

Take it to autozone to get un readable codes checked.
They will do it for FREE
