Default Tyrus intercooler fitment issues. PLEASE HELP!!!!

I just received my tyrus intercooler the other day and we tried to install it today. the intercooler is an awesome peice but does it get mounted on the top or the bottom of the metal bumper suport brackets or what? right now we have it on the bottom and the bumper cover WILL NOT fit whatsoever. also, we took the bov off and the air filter and replaced the intake pipe and air filter with something "better" right now the car runs but it idles at 2000 rpm and wont die down. i went over my BOV vacuum lines but they seem to be fine could a leak in the intake be the cause or maybe a stuck TB?? right now i am very pissed cause my bumper has zipties holding it on. please help me on this issue!!

to make it fit, your going to have to get some different braceks welded on to the intercooler facing foward.

Move the intercooler all the way back against the radiator support, this is where it needs to be for the easiest fitment. I would suggest welding in some small brackets underneath on the car to help hold it also.

Now please listen, it will not fit without some modification to your bumper. Little bits here and there are going to have to be cut off to make it fit. Once you mount the intercooler there, just keep holding your bumper up to it to see what needs to be trimmed. I would also suggest putting some of the piping on too to make sure it clear the bumper/wiper washer resiviour if you still have it.

I'm in the process of doing this right now to a 97 civic coupe.

If you dont want the intercooler that far back, you have to cut out the black grille from the your bumper, I didn't want to do this so I'm mounting it farther back.

i had to hack the shiet out of my side bumper holes to get the endtanks/pipes to fit in...doesnt look pretty, but the fmic covers up the entire middle section of my grill...hopefully i can figure out a way to make it fit better once i get my new set up done...

p.s. use a dremel!!! i shouldve used one and it wouldve cut straighter
