Icon2 Two engines a few heads, which to boost.

I recently bought a b18a1 with transmission, has a b20 head also have a spare b18a1 head as well, and a GSR transmission all for 400$$!!. I wanted to port and polish the head with springs valves and retainers. My plan was to do an N/a build but that won't tickle my fancy.. I was trying to see if anyone had any builds or advice to use for the bottom end parts. What pistons, rings, so forth. Should I do a angle job on the head as well. I know to get arp headstuds. And which head should I use the b20 or the b18? Thanks.

Dont spend the money on poting either head, sell both and get a vtec head. A stock vtec head will flow better than a ported pr4/pr8.

Keep the gsr trans too.

sell both A1 heads, b20 head and the A1 tranny. Buy a vtec head, arp head studs then boost it!

Yeah another thing was that I didn't want v tec. I've seen those go alot if there just micky moused together. And the GSR tranny is a must. So even with the a1 head I shouldn't port and polish? Also should I bore or stroke any of this or does it just really rely on the pistons cause I know there heads can take it.

Thats why when YOU do it, do it RIGHT. all you have to do is tap and plug the head, put on the new dowels and install the sandwhich plate and fittings for oil. A simple golden eagle LS vtec kit will include everything you need so its not " micky moused together. " I think you still have alot of reading to do...

Yeah I know I got to do some reading kinda new into the game. My budget is within 2500.( i know if you buy it new i'll be out of budget. But i just want a street machine maybe like 300 hp. Seems reasonable. And I honestly just don't care for v-tec, all my buds got it so It would be nice to show them v-tec isn't everything. And I haven't even looked at the casting numbers.. But do you guys have an idea for what pistons to use?
